FAMOUS
Security
In FAMOUS, users can control not only which
programs and actions users have, but also the data that users can enter
or extract from the system. The system can be configured to grant
access to outside users with complete confidence in the ability to control
what they have access to. FAMOUS security includes:
- Secured Notes - Users
can enter date/time stamped annotations on several transactions and
maintenance programs. Users with security access can view these
notes.
- Program Security -
Administrators can determine which user groups have access to specific
programs in FAMOUS. Users that do have access to a program
will not see the program on the FAMOUS Navigator.
- Action Security - In
addition to program security, administrators can also secure actions
within programs. For example, you may grant a user group access
to the program A/R Invoice Entry, but not the Delete action.
Users could then access Invoice Entry, but they would not have the ability
to delete an invoice.
- Transaction Security
- FAMOUS transactions can be assigned to access groups.
Access groups allows users to determine whether or not other users will
be able to access a transaction.
