Users can establish default values with the Set As Bring Forward feature.  This feature helps to eliminate tedious, repetitive tasks by letting users enter a value into a column, then set it as the default value.  For example, users can set today's date to default into a date column.  Then, each time a user tabs into the column, the date is automatically updated with today's date.
