Shipping Lists

Skillfully organized shipping lists and real time queries are at the heart of the Famous Shipping module. Your shipping workers can generate customized shipping lists that take into consideration such factors as estimated arrival times, destinations, carriers, purchase order grouping, and other factors.

Track warehouse transfers. Optionally, schedule loading times and docks. Prioritize loads. If you have multiple warehouses you can see and manage individual warehouses or all of them together.

Load Priority Management

Famous suggests a preliminary load priority, taking into consideration truck arrival times and warehouse locations. Quickly and automatically revise shipping lists and schedules by simply dragging and dropping order lines or by typing.

Famous provides fully integrated CHEP pallet reporting. You can also keep track of RPCs and similar reusable items.

Bar code Scanning and Shipping: Use fully integrated bar coded pallet tags to minimize typing errors, improve traceability, and assure accurate picking.

Bills of Lading: Automatically create Bills of Lading at checkout. Print on custom forms or on plain paper. Optionally capture drivers' signatures.

Driver Check-In and Check-Out: The driver check-in feature records time-and-date-stamped carrier information including drivers' names and carrier, and truck and trailer license numbers.

No Show Trucks: When a truck doesn't show up as planned it can create problems for you and your customers. The No Show Status feature in Famous Version 6 alerts you to Sales Orders that were scheduled to ship the prior day, but did not.

Canadian Confirmations: If you ship internationally you will appreciate the way Famous can help speed the preparation of the necessary paperwork, including the creation of Canadian Confirmations.

Pick Tickets: Pick Tickets can be generated to facilitate loading trucks. Special instructions, shipping information, and any additional loading remarks are included on the tickets. Whenever any relevant information changes on an order, Famous flags that order and cautions users to print revised pick tickets.

Loading Instructions and Shipping Charges: When loads require temperature recorders, CHEP pallets, air bags, top ice, and so on, these charges are entered on orders and appear on pick tickets.
