 Famous Integration Services (FIS) let you electronically trade with your customers and suppliers directly, or via iTradeNetwork or FoodLink Online. Our growing family of FIS features make efficient, accurate electronic produce trading a reality for large and small enterprises alike. FIS users report saving many hours each day. A Famous-to-Famous ExampleFamous customers can communicate directly with each other using F2F. For example, Packer/Shippers can source items they need from each other to complete orders. The buyer can even specify a third party's ship-to address. FIS acts as a portal for these transactions, and no other service is required.
 Orders created in FIS are sent electronically to other FIS users through the FIS server. Related order information such as confirmations, ASNs, and invoices can also be exchange electronically between Famous users via the FIS server.
A Retailer Direct ExampleRetailer Direct enables Famous Version 6 software users to electronically trade with such well known retailers as Affiliated Foods, Costco, and Wal-Mart/Sam's Club. The list of compatible retailers is growing quickly.
 Once you have set up the appropriate connections, it is possible to communicate directly with other Retailer Direct partners using FIS. Although there is usually no need to do so, you can also include third party portals such as iTradeNetwork or FoodLink Online if either of the partners in a transaction requires it. After receiving an electronic order from a partner, Retailer Direct users simply click the Create Orders button to review, add costs, and finalize the order. Once a purchase order is accepted, it becomes a sales order and your Famous Software's FIS capabilities automatically sends an order acknowledgement via EDI/XML through FIS to your customer. When the order is filled the shipper's Famous Software automatically generates an Advanced Shipping Notification and transmits it to the buyer via EDI/XML. The final (optional) step is electronic invoicing, which can also occur automatically. An iTradeNetwork Portal Example Suppose that one of your customers wants to use the iTradeNetwork portal for purchasing products.The buyer creates a purchase order in the normal manner but, since you and your buyer have agreed to use iTrade as an intermediary, the buyer's purchasing agent sends the order to the iTradeNetwork rather than phoning, e-mailing, or faxing to you.
The iTradeNetwork system forwards the PO to our Famous Integration Services server which validates, translates, and forwards the PO to your Famous Message Manager Inbox.
