Not to be confused with invoicing, the billing feature lets you track and manage charges to growers. It works in conjunction with our Grower Accounting products.

You can charge growers for various services such as packing, handling, and selling their products. Additionally, you are able to charge them for other expenses you have incurred on their behalf, such as bills for chemicals. This automates the process of accounting for non-product purchases, and generates real time General Ledger updates.

Grower charges can vary by grower, grower block, commodity, variety, pack style, size, grade, label, ship date, and other factors you choose. Charges can vary by price on a sliding scale, and can be based upon a variety of rate types using actual or equivalent units. Additionally, grower charges can be a percentage of gross sales or computed as a percentage of net sales. Grower charges can be calculated and assessed automatically upon receipt of grower product, after packing product, during invoicing, upon settlement, or you can specify combinations of automatic calculation rules. It is also possible to enter manual grower charges. Charges can be detailed on settlement reports. Famous Grower Accounting easily handles both inventory and non-inventory grower products.
