Meeting the Milestones

- Assign GTINs - Global Trade Item Numbers (Q1, 2009)
- Provide GTIN lists to your customers (Q3, 2009)
- Print human readable GTINs (numbers) on cases (Now 2011)
- Print GS1-128 GTIN Barcodes on Cases (Now 2011)
- Read & store inbound GTIN, GS1 Lot Info (2011)
- Read & store outbound GTIN, GS1 Lot Info (2012)

What to Do Now
Focus on your Company Prefix and GTINs right now. You don’t have to print GTINs on cases until Q3 2010. Don’t rush into it. There is still plenty of time to think, to plan and to ask questions.
