JOB DESCRIPTION

Famous Software is revolutionizing information management in the fresh food supply chain. We use a team approach to software development and customer support. You will have the opportunity to work with Product Mangers, Software Developers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Database Managers. Together you will create and enhance reliable, integrated, world class Oracle/Windows-based supply chain business solutions.

This opportunity is perfect for software Quality Assurance professionals with a track record of success and a solid understanding of software quality control methodology along with accounting knowledge. At Famous Software QA Tester is an essential position to creating unexcelled product reliability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Famous Software products
  • Build and Perform manual test cases for assigned applications according to business technical requirements
  • Requirements-based test case analysis, design and implementation in a Windows/Oracle environment
  • Troubleshoot application issues
  • Logging defects identified during testing and tracking issue to successful resolution
  • Execute a variety of assigned test cases

    • Qualifications/requirements

    This position requires a minimum of two-years of experience in a business software development environment, preferably with at least one-year or more in a QA capacity and basic accounting knowledge. A degree in information services, accounting or business management is required. In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting functions and their impact on the general ledger (debits and credits)
  • Strong organizational skills, highly effective written and verbal skills, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to write and execute test plans
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Collaborate with team members to discuss and define defects discovered during testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
  • Firm understanding of business transaction processing, accounting and payroll practices
  • Ability to understand and follow requirements-based testing and software development life cycles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge in SQL would be beneficial
