JOB DESCRIPTION

Famous Software is revolutionizing information management in the fresh produce supply chain. We use a team approach to software development, sales and customer support. You will have the opportunity to support one of the produce software industry's leading sales, administrative and professional services teams. This is a paid internship with the Sales staff. It’s a perfect entry level opportunity for someone wanting real world experience in an agricultural software sales and marketing environment. It offers "hands-on" training and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

·         Become familiar with the entire Famous Software product line, pricing structure and audience

·         Ride along—watch the best in the business discover the right solutions via consultative selling

·         Assist with the creation and distribution of complex, big ticket sales proposals

·         Maintain sales records using state-of-the- art CRM and project planning software

·         Conduct important aspects of direct mail campaigns

·         Handle sales-related telephone calls from customers and prospects

·         Help maintain and update the Sales Team’s schedule

 

Qualifications/requirements

You should be a successful, upper division student with an aptitude for computers; and be studying Ag, Business, or a related field. Students from the College of Ag typically fit well in this position. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Some travel is required. In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:

 

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·         Proficient written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to learn from your work and from that of others around you

·         Ability to generalize what you have learned

·         Willingness to roll up your sleeves in a cooperative team environment

·         Motivation and time management skills

·         Passion for new technologies and attention to detail
