JOB DESCRIPTION

Famous Software is revolutionizing information management in the fresh food supply chain. We use a team approach to software development and customer support. This position on our Custom Software Development team will give you the opportunity to create reports and other custom software solutions for some of the produce industry's leading growers, packers, shippers, brokers and accounting professionals.

Programmer/Report Writers work closely with multiple departments. This is an excellent opportunity for you to get your foot in the door at a leading software firm offering enormous long-term career potential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create programs, reports and scripts to be delivered as custom products
  • Test to assure code functionality within the customers’ environment
  • Participate in the quality control aspects of your projects
  • Work closely with consultants and trainers in establishing project requirements
  • Communicate with customers regarding their projects

    • Qualifications/requirements

    This is the ideal position for college graduates with a minimum of one year programming experience. Familiarity with Oracle's database tools, Microsoft Windows, SQL, Crystal Reports, and InfoMaker is valuable. Experience in the produce industry is a plus. In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:

  • Experience with turning design specifications into working code
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to learn from your work and from that of others around you
  • Ability to problem solve and generalize what you have learned
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
