JOB DESCRIPTION Famous Software is revolutionizing information management in the fresh food supply chain. We use a team approach to software development and customer support. You will have the opportunity to support some of the produce industry's leading Software Product Mangers, Software Developers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Database Managers, as well as administrative, sales, and professional services teams.
This entry level opportunity is perfect for someone wanting real world experience in the field of IT Technical Support and IT Management. This is a paid internship on the Network Services staff that will offer "hands-on" training and experience. It is also a chance to get your foot in the door at a leading California software firm offering enormous long-term career potential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Famous Software products · Provide computer and networking support to a high-tech administrative and programming staff · Configure, install, and move computers, peripherals and telephones · Assist Network Services staff with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 tasks · Assist headquarters staff with Microsoft Office 2003 applications · Assist Network Services staff with firewall and antivirus maintenance · Lift, bend, reach and carry in order to perform office equipment installation and maintenance · Assist with classroom setup, video projection and other presentation tools
Qualifications/requirements You should have an aptitude for computers and be studying Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2003, including, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and be willing to work 12-16 hours/week. In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills · Proficient written and oral communication skills · Ability to learn from your work and from that of others around you · Ability to generalize what you have learned · Willingness to roll up your sleeves in a cooperative team environment · Motivation and time management skills · Passion for new technologies and attention to detail
