JOB DESCRIPTION

Famous Software is revolutionizing information management in the fresh food supply chain. We use a team approach to software development and customer support. You will have the opportunity to support some of the produce industry's leading Software Product Mangers, Software Developers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Database Managers, as well as administrative, sales, and professional services teams.

 

This entry level opportunity is perfect for someone wanting real world experience in the field of programming and report writing. This is a paid internship on the Custom Development staff that will offer "hands-on" training and experience. It is also a chance to get your foot in the door at a leading California software firm offering enormous long-term career potential.

                                                                                                                          

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

·         Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Famous Software application

·         Provide customer support on a broad range of custom projects and technical issues

·         Assist customers in the design, coding and registration of pallet tag formats

·         Assist developers in the analysis, coding and documentation of custom reports

                                        

Qualifications/requirements

You should have an aptitude for computers and be studying Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2003, including, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and be willing to work 12-20 hours/week. In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:

 

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·         Proficient written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to learn from your work and from that of others around you

·         Ability to generalize what you have learned

·         Motivation and time management skills

·         Passion for new technologies and attention to detail
