Famous is revolutionizing information management in the fresh food supply chain. We use a team approach to software development and customer support. This position will give you the opportunity to work with some of the produce industry’s leading product experts, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance and Database Managers. You will work in a team to create and enhance fully integrated, world class Oracle/Windows-based supply chain business solutions.

At Famous Software Business Analyst is an analytical planning and testing position. You will identify user needs, develop written business requirement documents, and work closely with software developers to assure feasibility and resolve design issues before coding begins.  In the process you will interact with many Famous Software employees and customers at all levels of seniority. You will also be involved in pre-release product testing and review.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

·         Understand and analyze user needs

·         Research markets and competitors

·         Work in a team environment to define new products and features

·         Create Project Analysis documents

·         Participate in product testing and design reviews

Qualifications/requirements

Ideally, you have been a software engineer or business analyst at a software company that produces complex business software, such as ERP or Business Information (BI) systems.  You have leadership skills that will enable you to take on a full Project Management role. You understand concepts such as Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Finance as they pertain to the development of business applications.  You have a good understanding of software development process and can contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Business-to-business exposure is a definite plus. Experience using Oracle's database and tools, Microsoft Windows, or PowerBuilder in a software development setting will all be useful.

You should possess significant experience and/or a degree in one of the following concentrations: accounting, business, finance, information systems, agribusiness, or management.  In addition, please be prepared to demonstrate your:
